Charity is incredibly important to South Coast Controls, our partners, and the many customers that we work with. Recently, South Coast Controls and our sister company, Coast Pneumatics, acquired a suite at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. From NHL hockey games to performances of all genres, the Honda Center is an ultimate hub for entertainment and events in Orange County. As charity is a key component in our companies’ cultures, we are always looking for more ways to become further involved and enhance our donations. With this new resource, we are now able to offer unique, one-of-a-kind experiences to those that deserve it the most. With this acquisition, South Coast Controls and Coast Pneumatics have committed to donating a multitude of events in the suite to be given away to a variety of nonprofit organizations. We are making it our mission to work together and make a difference! Together we give!
The group picturedare two families that we were connected with through the BumbleBee Foundation! The BumbleeBee Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports pediatric cancer families. Whether it is through offering empowering volunteers, fundraising, or assisting families throughout the hardships of cancer, BumbleBee works to help in any way that they can. To show our appreciation and support for children fighting against cancer and their families, South Coast Controls and Coast Pneumatics donated our entire company suite for the Kidz Bop Live concert to this foundation. Kidz Bop is the #1 music brand for kids in the United States, featuring children performing modern, popular songs. When our companies heard that the BumbleBee Foundation supports pediatric cancer families, we knew that this event was the perfect fit and would be going to a very special and deserving group of people. One of the children that attended the concert and that is pictured above, Mateo, has been battling Leukemia for 5 years. Unfortunately, a week before the event, Mateo relapsed. Despite this and living hours away from Orange County, his family knew that a little vacation was just what he needed. A few days later Mateo’s family surprised him by taking him to the Great Wolf Lodge Hotel, and his first ever concert, Kidz Bop Live! After the performance, Mateo’s parents said, “we were able to be a family in the moment without worrying about cancer”. To know that we helped take their minds off the difficulties of cancer, for even just one night, is a moment that our team will never forget. Events such as this create unforgettable memories for families and patients dealing with the hardships of cancer. Hearing stories like those from the BumbleBee Foundation, and having an ability to give back in such an exciting way, is why South Coast Controls and Coast Pneumatics will work with the BumbleBee Foundation and many other charities for years to come. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have been able to do this for these familites, and work with this organization. We hope that this experience was one that will last a lifetime for Mateo, Elijah, and both of their families. Thank you to the BumbleBee Foundation for all the work that you do, and for connecting us with this incredible group so that we could give them this special gift to enjoy!
